Your safety net against data loss — export everything to a file you control
Downloads a single JSON file containing all your materials, movements, production, expenses, and sales. Save it somewhere safe (Google Drive, email it to yourself, keep it on a USB stick). You can re-import it anytime to restore your data.
⚠️ Warning: Restoring will merge backup data into your current database. Existing records with the same ID will be skipped to prevent duplicates. If you want a clean restore, clear your Supabase tables first using the SQL editor.
Once you deploy the Supabase Edge Function (see SETUP_GUIDE.md), a backup runs automatically every night at 23:55 Ghana time and emails the JSON to you. No action needed — just check your inbox daily.
• Back up weekly to protect against Supabase free-tier auto-pause (projects pause after 1 week of inactivity; data is deleted after ~90 days paused).
• Keep 3+ copies in different places: your computer, cloud storage, and email.
• Test your backup once a month by opening the JSON file — if it looks right, your data is safe.
• Consider upgrading to Supabase Pro (~$25/month) to eliminate auto-pause entirely.
